How to choose the right light for indoor plants
A plant's place starts with light. Before choosing a pot or size, take a look at your room on an ordinary day.

Look at the spot, not just the window
Light drops quickly as you move away from a window. A room that feels bright to us may still have a corner that is too dark for a plant. Check the spot in the morning, at midday and in the afternoon.
Indirect light does not mean darkness
Good natural light away from strong direct rays is a useful starting point for many indoor plants. A sheer curtain can soften the sun. Exact needs depend on the species.
Change the position gradually
Give your plant time to adjust when moving it to a sunnier spot. Watch new leaves and the rate of growth. Lower light usually means slower growth, not that a plant can live without light.
